Reva Atea

Raising awareness and making it easier to take action

Reva Atea website on a laptop: home page presenting the association's mission

Context

Reva Atea works to protect the ecology and natural heritage of French Polynesia. As part of a design sprint, our team focused on a feature capable of raising public awareness of this cause and making engagement more accessible.

Challenge

How can we make the environmental issues championed by Reva Atea understandable while giving visitors simple, concrete ways to take part?
Reva Atea home page: the association's mission and four ways to get involved (volunteer, donor, member, partner)
The home page links the association's mission to four concrete ways of contributing, visible from the first screen.

Approach

  1. 01Understanding the association's mission and audiences
  2. 02Identifying the obstacles between discovering the cause and taking action
  3. 03Collective ideation during the design sprint
  4. 04Designing a journey linking awareness, discovery of initiatives and engagement
  5. 05Prototyping the interface
  6. 06Visual harmonisation

Key decisions

  • Structure awareness as a progressive journey: understand the cause, discover the actions taken, then choose a concrete way to contribute
  • Make the ways of taking part visible from the first screen, instead of relegating them to the end of the journey
  • Showcase Polynesian nature without reducing it to a tourist backdrop
Quiz screen: "What motivates you in discovery?" with four possible answers
A short quiz guides the visitor towards the form of engagement that suits them, rather than showing an undifferentiated list.
Low-fidelity mock-up of a mobile screen held in hand: text areas, photo and action button
The first low-fidelity mock-ups were used to validate the structure of the journey before any visual work.
Reva Atea logo: symbol inspired by Polynesian patterns and the tagline "L'envol vers le savoir"
The association's existing symbol was kept and integrated into the interface.

Deliverables

  • User journey from awareness to engagement
  • Interface prototype (home, orientation quiz, engagement pages)
  • Screens harmonised with the association's existing identity

Outcome

The proposal turns awareness into a progressive journey: understand the cause, discover the actions taken, then choose a concrete way to contribute. The interface showcases Polynesian nature without reducing it to a tourist backdrop and makes engagement clearer.

What this project demonstrates

My ability to work quickly in a team, to frame a problem during a design sprint and to translate a committed cause into an accessible digital journey.
